Le Noyer is a self-catering holiday cottage, known in Normandy as a gite, and is situated in the heart of the beautiful peaceful countryside of the west coast of the Cotentin.
It is approximately 45 minutes drive from Cherbourg and 1.30mins drive from Caen.
Le Noyer is just 15 minutes from the nearest beach and is ideally situated for visiting the historic Landing Beaches, Mont St Michel and Bayeux.
The local town of La Haye du Puits is 5km away; it has a good selection of shops and restaurants. Wednesday is market day for La Haye du Puits,
and if you enjoy French markets you can be sure to find one locally on every day of the week. During the summer months there
are many Vide Greniers (car boots); fetes and fairs for you to enjoy and perhaps pick up a souvenir of your holiday.
The cottage is set back from the road behind a 17th century farmhouse. Both the farmhouse and the cottage are said to have been used by the occupying German troops during WWII. Sporting and leisure activities are available nearby and include tennis, golf, horse riding, and canoeing, sailing, and go karting. There is a network of cycle routes and walks that criss-cross La Manche.
