Hope Cottage is a beautifully renovated south-facing stone barn set in a delightful location in Normandy, France. The region is ideally suited for those who enjoy sightseeing, cycling, fishing, walking, horse riding or just plain relaxing in the sun on one of the many fantastic sandy beaches within 15-20 minutes drive of the house. We are also ideally situated if you're planning a visit to the historic D-Day landing sites. Our above-ground solar heated swimming pool is now fully installed and ready for use (open between the end of May through to early September) - please see pictures in the gallery. Our accomodation consists of three gites all described later. There are many fetes, fairs and festivals during the year (see our events page), or you might just want to enjoy the tranquility & beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The kitchens in all our gites have ovens, microwaves, fridge/freezers and all crockery and cutlery etc that you should need during your stay. Travel cots/High chairs are available upon request. The lovely gardens (approximately one acre in size) are your's to use for relaxation or playing on the days that you dont want to go out exploring. The grounds are mainly laid to lawn with a stream running alongside and a pond with frogs/wildlife on the lower part of the land. Seating areas are scattered around the land for those 'early evening glasses of wine', reading, painting or whatever you want to do. The above-ground solar heated swimming pool is also available between late May and early September if you fancy a dip. There is ample parking in our private car park for 6 - 8 cars.
