about 25 mins from Cherbourg on the west coast of the Cotentin
peninsula, the self-catering holiday cottages (or in Normandy, Gites)
have been lovingly restored from a traditional 17th Century farm manor with a touch of theatre by the owner Mr Daniel Parker, an Oscar nominated and BAFTA award winning make-up artist for the film industry. The result are delightful cottages full of personality and wonderful attention to detail. The
farm itself is tucked away in a beautiful countryside location where children can play in
safety. This gite in manche is ideally placed for visiting the Mont St Michel, Bayeux, and
the Landing Beaches, or house hunting in the cotentin area. Both coasts, very different in their nature
are within easy driving distance. The attractive
market towns of Bricqbec and Valognes, 6km and 8km away, have all the
shops you need, including three supermarkets. There is also a bakers and a small epicerie in our own
commune of Negreville. If you are a fan of French street
markets there is one available every day nearby. There are
many fetes, fairs and festivals during the year, or you might just want to enjoy
the quietness & beauty of the surrounding countryside.

Sporting and leisure activities available nearby include; tennis; golf; canoeing; windsurfing; sailing; karting; sea-fishing and ice-skating. On the almost deserted beaches you can ride, kite surf or take a lesson at a local land-yachting school. If you are keen on bikes there is a network of cycle routes that can be joined close to the house. The cottages both have free Wi-Fi access.
