Negreville is a commune of about 800 inhabitants, a typical French village of stone longeres, manor houses and working farms and the XIII century Château de Pont-Rilly. Nestled between 2 rivers (La Douve and La Gloire) the domaine of Negreville was confiscated from the Wac family in the 12th century for declaring their allegiance to the king of England at the time.
The farm is set within an acre of gardens and pasture, containing a large outside lawned area and an orchard. The field to the rear often has local horses in to keep the grass down! The main rail line between Cherbourg and Paris runs along the rear of the property, but is screened by trees and with less than 2 trains per hour (daytime) you will find you don't really notice them.

The restoration of the farm has taken 12 years, I have tried to restore the buildings as sympathetically as possible to reflect their history, whilst updating them to meet the requirements of modern living, which has been quite a challenge! It hasn't always been easy, but along with the help of local craftsmen I hope you will find the materials and workmanship fit the luxury holiday accommodation description.
