"Well, what can we say! The gite has served so wonderfully as our base over the past week, and also as extension to your home. It has given us an insight into the ideal of ‘la vie en france’. You have such a lovely home and have shared it with sincere hospitality. We wish you all the best in the future venture and are thankful to be your initial residents."

"We’ve had a wonderful holiday and have been excellently provided for by Colin & Joy what a lovely holiday home you have created! Some of the things we’ve enjoyed in the area: Two quirky but fascinating chateaux, Chateau de Ste Suzanne (which you can walk to) and Chateau de Crosville sur Douve. La Maison des Marais at St- Come-du-Mont- interesting displays and walks (and boat trips) A coast walk round Cap de la Hague-spectacular scenery. At Cartaret we found a lovely quiet beach- safely overseen and beautiful to swim here. The WW2 museum at St Mere Eglise is worth a visit, the parachutist dangling from the church tower gives a good photo! We also liked St Vaast la Hougue – nice harbour and pretty town (big car park at sea side by the harbour)., Utah beach also interesting. We had reasonable weather and enjoyed a refreshing and interesting break. We hope you enjoy it too!"

"Thank you for help and thoughtfulness from our first phone call onwards. The gite is absolutely lovely and I hope you have many more satisfied visitors! Whilst here we have particularly enjoyed visiting Cite de la Mer (good for rainy day) a bell foundry at Villedieu les Poeles, the canal and port at Carentan and the beach at St Vaast le Hougue. I don’t doubt you will have return booking." Ken & Lyn Mason, Hartlepool. 21/8/10

"At last we made it to La Noyer and boy was it worth the wait! The Gite was excellent with all our needs and more work treated for, the garden was a paradise and Joy & Colin were the most wonderful and caring hosts. A perfect combination! The week (so sorry it couldn't have been longer) has been truly superb. The weather? Well, after all we are in Normandy! We have experienced sun and showers but more of the former and the villages and towns we have visited have been a pleasure to stroll around. The moules in all their forms were excellent."

"After a warm welcome we enjoyed staying here very much. Only five days of rain that didn't bother us too much since it was the second time for us being in Normandy we had already seen some spectacular places, but there are so many more to discover. Thanks Colin and joy. We definitely will return! Have a wonderful summer and all the best from Bush off travelling and their dog." Holger, Petra, Tobias & Annike and Homer the dog 23/7/11

"Dear Colin and joy we really enjoyed the stay in your nice Gite with a beautiful garden. It is the first time for us in the Normandy, but we will definitely return. It is a wonderful region with plenty of great beaches, small seaports, cute cottages and lovely countryside, so it's easy to understand why you moved here. Sandra will sadly miss the bells. Au revoir et bonne continuation" Anne, Sandra, Dietmar and Eddie the pug 30/07/11

"What a fabulous Gite, we have been really comfortable and made to feel welcome. Thank you Colin and joy for your helpful tips on local sites and for your patience with the boys. Here at the gite we have loved the island and the river. Our favourite days out were Cap de Carteret and Ile de Tatihou - great amphibious boat!" The Bagueleys 20/8/11

"Thank you Colin and Joy for such a warm welcome and a beautiful Gite and garden. The American cemetery and the German one in Orglandes plus the British one near Arromanches were very humbling. Beach at Carteret was fabulous. Would recommend Le Commerce restaurant in La Haye du Puits, a very nice warm place and friendly too. Creperie in Valognes was good and very reasonable - love French life." Adam, Tracy, Molly and Elsie 27/8/11
